Success at AS and GCSE for Bishop Hedley Pupils

Not only has Bishop Hedley maintained its three year average of 100% of pupils attaining GCSE L1 examinations, but 29% of the cohort also attained an A/S examination, a qualification usually sat in a sixth form setting! At L2 +, BHHS maintains its three year average of over 62%.  Notable successes were Zahraa Kammas and Kate Hill who both attained 9 A*/A and a B at A/S.  Phoebe Abad and Seren Clancy attained 7 A*/A and C at A/S whilst Sam Hopkins attained 5 A*/A in addition to a C at A/S and further GCSEs. Pupils and staff are to be congratulated on their hard work and the outstanding efforts in their A/S achievements along with GCSEs.

Maureen Harris, headteacher at Bishop Hedley, said: “We are delighted that pupils are continuing to gain excellent results and the partnership with parents has been a very important part of this.

“Staff at Bishop Hedley are first class and there willingness to go the extra mile is reflected in 29% of pupils who achieved an AS level a year early. I wish our pupils every good fortune in their future endeavours.”
