Bishop Hedley High School welcomes applications from all pupils of all backgrounds and admission to the school is granted in line with the school’s admission policy, a copy of which is available here. The seven feeder schools for Bishop Hedley are: St Marys, Merthyr Tydfil, St Marys, Brynmawr, St Illtyds, Merthyr Tydfil, St Aloysius, Merthyr Tydfil, St Josephs, Tredegar, All Saints, Ebbw Vale and St Margarets, Aberdare. We also accept many pupils from non-feeder schools throughout Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Caerphilly, Neath-Port Talbot and Blaenau Gwent. Free home-to-school transport is provided for pupils that live 3 or more miles from the school.
Bishop Hedley Catholic High School admits approximately 120 students in the relevant age group each year.
